Backyard BBQ: The Art of Smokology

This one was given to me to read. Just like one I had purchased, this book is also filled with typos and grammar errors.
I would skip this author and pick just about any other book by any other author.

Dissappointingly simplistic. If you have read ANYTHING about smoking a brisket or ever made a reasably good effort, then you have surpassed the level of this book.

Very thorough book. Haven’t had much time to really sit down and read it but just from scanning through the book, I saw plenty of useful information. I am looking forward to really getting into it!

The book anit too bad, the instructional content is for the most part common sense. For those with no clue on smoking this is an excellent place to start, no question.
The recipes look great and this is a good resource for ideas.
Realistically this book could have been half the size. Lots of blank pages, double spacing and very short pages made me feel kind of jipped. Hence 3 stars, if it was priced correctly ($9.00+ -) 4 stars.

Richard’s books just keep improving with more information! I was so pleased to read about his barbeque classes. He has such a unique sense of humor, in addition to his expertise as a chef.
