Here at the Pit, we call them “Jacks Ribs” but typically they are known as Country Style Pork Ribs. They are simple to grill and a great recipe to have on hand if you need a quick and easy meal hot off the BBQ grill. Although most Ribmen describe this cut of meat more as a “chop” than a “rib”, the pork industry prefers to call them Ribs. So Ribs they are! All you need to get started is 4-5lbs. Country Style Pork Ribs, 3 -18oz. bottles of your favorite barbecue sauce, 12oz. beer (or water will do). Get your charcoal grill good and hot and in about an hour you’ll be serving up delicious, moist and tender Barbecue Pork Ribs. You can print out this BBQ Pit Boys recipe at www.BBQPitBoys.com —
I love this one taco dip recipe that my family always makes, but I can’t remember the measurements or exactly how to put it all together. The ingredients are lettuce, tomato, shredded cheddar cheese, taco sauce, and cream cheese. The two ingredients I am unsure of are sour cream and taco seasoning packet. I can’t remember if they belong to the recipe or not. But that’s it. Thanks.

We, the Drowned, By Carsten Jensen, Trans. Charlotte Barslund and Emma Ryder
“Now it was time to meet the sea… We said goodbye to our mothers. They’d been around all our lives, but we’d never properly seen them. They’d been bent over washing-tubs or cooking-pots, their faces red and swollen from heat and steam, holding everything together while our fathers were away at sea. It was their endurance and exhaustion we knew rather than them.” Not that endurance and …

Albert Spica is a violent gangster and part-owner of Le Hollandais, a restaurant which he and his circle of cronies visit in the evenings. Although Spica has pretensions to be a gourmet, he is in fact coarse in his tastes and ignorant about cuisine, and is also violent and insulting towards the other guests. His head chef Richard despises him, but also fears him and is obliged to allow him to stay. Spica’s wife Georgina is, it transpires, regularly abused by him, and is terrified of him. However, she begins to take an interest in one of the other guests, Michael, and, with Richard’s collusion soon begins an extra-marital affair with him in the kitchen of Le Hollandais. When Albert learns of the affair, he threatens to kill, cook and eat Michael, and Michael and Georgina take refuge in Michael’s book store where he lives. Albert, however, tortures a young kitchen boy who knows their whereabouts and tracks them down. While Georgina is visiting the boy at the hospital, Albert orders Michael killed by having pages of his own books forced down his throat; Albert and his men then leave, and Georgina finds Michael’s body. Georgina brings the body back to Richard and asks him to cook it. At first he refuses, thinking she intends to eat it. However, when she explains that she intends to force feed the body to Albert, he agrees. Georgina, armed and surrounded by several of Albert’s other victims, presents Michael’s roasted carcass and, holding the gun on him, suggests that Albert …

I’m trying to find a recipe like my step mom used to make. Do any of the recipes you know include white chocolate chips?
hers did include them
My niece just called and asked if I had ever had my food turn black when I was cooking in my cast iron cookware. She has seasoned it like she is supposed to but her food is still turning black. Anyone ever had a problem with this?
Yeah it is really cast iron. I told her that she may not her gotten it seasoned adequately..I’ve also heard that if you boil water in it that can happen.
Im after a special Roti recipe. Something different. Like a secret ingrediant maybe. Please dont post just ordinary recipes. Any kind of special indian bread to eat with curries is what Im after. Something like a Roti chennai. Where u stretch the dough and make it real thin, then fold it, stretch again. Something like that would be really cool. Mmmmm Roti Yummy! I like my Roti!
