All I heard was “My Bloody Valentine is great!” “My Bloody Valentine is underrated.” Oh, please! MBV is stupid, boring, and just plain old bad! Stick to the remake. It’s not the best horror film, but it’s better than this crap!

As it was a ‘classic’ 80s slasher movie, I was not expecting Citizen Kane, but was not quite expecting My Bloody Valentine to be as poorly acted as it actually was. Moreover, the ‘teens’ in this movie all seem to be aged about 30 and while the gore is undoubtedly more explicit than it was in the cut version, it is still nothing special and certainly does not redeem the film. What can I say really, I freely admit to having some out and out trash on my DVD shelf, but this is going up for re-sale I am afraid.

it’s about freaking time!!! finally, the edition this movie deserves! i don’t regret double-dipping one bit.
you get the option of watching the theatrical R-rated version or the extended cut. that matters to me more than any other extra you can come up with. sure, the quality takes a dip at the deleted footage–it looks aged, not mastered, and some of its just lame…but I LOVE IT!! finally you get to see all the stuff you’ve been hearing people talk about for almost 30 years. it’s great!
please paramount do this for friday the 13th 2-8!!!
anyways the documentary thing is pretty good…appearances from a lot of people in the movie, lots of fun facts, a history of slasher film, shameless plugging of the new movie. no problem, loved it!! it’s a fun watch. and you can watch all the deleted scenes with commentary before them which is sweet.
all in all, it’s all i’ve ever wanted for this movie! great job lion’s gate!!!
i won’t give 5 stars however because i hate standard def and they didn’t release it on blu-ray.

A COAL MINER GOES ON A KILLING SPREE ON VALENTINE’S DAY. THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST HORROR MOVIES OF ALL TIME. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS MOVIE. EVEN THE MURDER SEQUENCES ARE BORING TO WATCH! FROM THE WAY THIS MOVIE ENDED, THE MAKERS OF THIS MOVIE MUST’VE WANTED TO MAKE A SEQUEL TO THIS TRASH. IT’S A VERY GOOD THING THAT THAT SEQUEL NEVER DID SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY. TOTALLY LAUGHABLE AND FORGETTABLE. DON’T EVEN PICK UP THE COVER FOR THIS MOVIE. TRUST ME, THIS IS EXTREMELY BAD!
