What is the best way to massage the face without doing more damage to aging muscles by sagging or pulling?
I have read here that face massage is important for keeping young-looking. But I hestitate to massage my face because we’re told that pulling and pressure to the face will cause aging. So what is the correct way?
upperward slow circular motion
I believe you must have read some of my many answers given in response to questions on Answers where I advocate face massage to counteract aging and maintain a healthy, young looking skin and face. The massage I speak about is a quite firm and and stimulating one and in order to do it you have to firm or tighten the skin by making muscles taught in part being massaged. When you do that there is no pulling or “sagging” – whatever that means. You can test right now by firming your muscles so that skin becomes taught in mouth area and if then apply a pretense massage to above and below lips you will clearly see there is no pulling or dragging of skin. Then do the same for any other part of face. I have been using this massage personally for a long time and teaching it to others for a number of years and there has not been any instances of it causing “aging” or being detrimental in any way at all. Those who have used it on Answers will also confirm that it has only been positive and only beneficial in countless ways. You can contact them yourself. Please email me and I will tell you how to contact them.
