I would never buy a Baby Bjorn again. The carrier is overpriced for what it is. It is, in all effects, a newborn/infant carrier. It’s a LOT of money to lay down for a carrier that you can use for less than a year, and in many cases it is much less than a year.
The carrier also poses some comfort/positioning concerns. For the person wearing the carrier, it just isn’t very supportive. It’s better than older models, but still not comfortable by any means once your baby weighs more than 10 lbs.
The carrier also hangs baby by his/her crotch, which is not good for their hips and spine. There are much better options out there, and most of them cost significantly less than this carrier.

I never thought I would think that something like this is an essential as far baby equipment go. I bought this especially for travel and have found that I can use it anytime, anywhere. It keeps my hands free, it does not hurt my back and best of all, my baby loves being in it. She falls right asleep.

I absolutely need this item in my life. I bought the synergy last year and my car got broken in to last month; I repurchased this item IMMEDIATELY!! I felt nervous without it. I have a baby and a two year old boy that is wild and likes to throw temper tantrums all the time. I am not able to carry a baby and my two year old at the same time and the baby bjorn gives me the ability to do so.
I considered buying the active version but it gets so hot and I didn’t want the sweaty child/mom combo. The lumbar support is essential for long wears. I am a preschool teacher and have to carry a baby around most of the time and this gives me comfort and freedom. The material is so comfortable and light.
I counted the days until my synergy bjorn arrived and to my pleasant surprise, it came way earlier than I thought!!!

Of all the slings I have this is my husbands favorite. He uses it as well. My son is so happy in it. Loves to see everything and kicks away in excitement. It is easy to use and adjust to each person once you get the hang of it. Washes well (I would try the protective bib). It does keep you on the cooler side so you don’t get so sweaty using it. Also lets baby be more comfortable. My back hurt with use over 30-45 mins. but this is just me. My husband had no problem. When we go into a restaurant we bring this just in case. Their have been many times my husband has put our son in it and continued to sit and eat. Calms him down right away.

I’ve gotten this carrier for my new born baby that’s due in March. I have been trying out with my little niece since she was 10 months old and she is 13 months now. She loved to be in the carrier facing out. her hands and legs are free and thus giving her all the movements she wanted when i brought her out for some shopping.
You have to take note in having the carrier properly tighten to your body to ensure a good fit. read up the manual and you’re good to go in no time. Great design, great product.
