Have not had a chance to download the software. Heard very positive reactions from other users. Hope there was not a cut off for income brackett to E-file free? Can’t wait to use.

Thought it would be easy and basic to use- I tried for about 2 hours, I could not go back and correct anything without logging out and in again, and I could not easily go back and check my work. It did not find the most basic deductions and my taxes were way higher had I spent $200.00 something for a professional at H.R. Block. I finally went to Turbo Tax and it asked me everything, easy to maneuver the sight and took all my deductions. Call it a learning curve, I was able to down load Turbo Tax from their website without waiting for the disc to come in the mail, so this year I had to buy two tax programs- Turbo Tax was amazing-OnePriceTaxes is a One Price mega head ache!

The Federal part of the program was ok. There were some areas where I had a question, but not able to just click on the area and have it explained. This part wasn’t too bad, but the State is where I DID NOT like it at all. It just did it automatically and you can’t go in and view it or make any type of changes. In Iowa you can itemize deductions even if you do not on the federal. I am not able to even go to a schedule A for the Iowa return. We will have to pay in excessive amounts if I efile with this program. I will be doing my taxes by hand and checking it out with the paper version. Taxcut you could go in and manually fix things or at least see what was going on. I thought I would try this because it was cheaper…. Not so sure that was the smart way to do it. For those who are very good at the rules of the taxes, this might be fine, I like to be able to view each line on the State taxes and make sure there are no errors and where they came up with the numbers. UGH! Taxes are a pain already and ….. UGH! Like I say tomorrow I will be doing the state taxes by hand with the tax booklet and see where we really stand. State was like 3X higher that they should have been…. Maybe I was too used to the taxcut version… Not happy with the STATE part AT ALL! :0 (
